The Stichting SZB has an authentic steam locomotive in its possession, built in 1910 for the use on branch lines. Similar locomotives were employed by the Dutch State Railways from 1884 on. The SZB is working hard to make this engine serviceable again. The engine may be used by the Dutch preserved railways when ready.
